PetaCore uses the WhatsApp Business API to deliver one-time passcodes to guests who are signing in to a venue's WiFi. The OTP is the only message we send — six digits, a short expiry, no marketing content.
Guests opt in explicitly by entering their phone number on the venue's captive portal. They can re-request a code, choose SMS or email as an alternative channel, or contact the venue directly.
We honor opt-outs at the platform level. We do not sell or share guest contact information with third parties. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
HasTechs is an IT solutions company based in Cairo, Egypt. We build PetaCore — a captive portal and internet management platform for operators running hardware-firewall networks.
We started as a sysadmin team running WiFi for cafés and co-working spaces. After rebuilding the same router scripts a hundred times, we turned those scripts into a SaaS so other operators could skip the work. PetaCore is the result.
We're a small, technical team. We answer support email ourselves. We ship continuously.

HasTechs for IT Solutions ("HasTechs", "we", "our") operates the PetaCore platform. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We act as a data processor on behalf of the venues (tenants) that deploy PetaCore on their networks.
When you choose WhatsApp as your sign-in channel, your phone number is shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. solely to deliver the OTP. We send only transactional OTP messages — no marketing, no promotional content. Meta's handling of WhatsApp messages is governed by Meta's own privacy policy at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected]. For data held on a specific venue's behalf, we will forward your request to that venue.
All traffic to PetaCore endpoints is served over TLS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. OTPs are stored as one-way hashes in Redis with a short TTL. Admin sessions are HTTP-only cookies.
If we materially change this policy, we will email registered admins and post the new version here with an updated date.

These terms govern your use of the PetaCore platform operated by HasTechs for IT Solutions. By creating an account or signing in to a venue's WiFi through our captive portal, you agree to them.
PetaCore is a multi-tenant captive portal and internet management platform. We provide the software; the venue ("tenant") provides the network and decides what policies apply.
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your admin account. Keep your password and any API keys secret. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect a compromise.
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime on the admin console and 99.9% on the captive portal and hardware API. We perform planned maintenance with at least 24 hours' notice where possible.
Tenant pricing is set in the order form signed with HasTechs. Captive-portal users pay nothing to HasTechs; any charge is between you and the venue.
Either party can terminate a tenant agreement with 30 days' notice. We may suspend access immediately if you breach acceptable use or fail to pay.
The service is provided "as is". Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Cairo.
